The Board of Directors held its third regular meeting for the year 2023. This morning, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 AD. At the main headquarters of the Libya Trade Network.

The meeting was devoted to reviewing and discussing the following agenda items:

The first item: Review of the activity report for the first half of the year 2023.

The second item: Reviewing the requirements for localization and launching an inquiry point to facilitate trade.

The third item: Presentation of the most important works and programs intended to be implemented during the second half of the year 2023 AD.

Fourth item: Reviewing the situation regarding equipping the training center and discussing the approval of the center’s training program for the second half of the year 2023 AD.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors opened the meeting, welcoming the members of the Board, praising the interest given by His Excellency the Minister of Economy and Trade and the support he provides to all programs and projects that are being worked on, and his approval of the regulations required for the work of the institution and activating its role to develop the Libyan trade sector.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of some of the following procedures and decisions:

– Continuing procedures to localize the inquiry point to facilitate foreign trade.

– Taking the necessary measures to implement the regulations organizing the work of approved electronic stores, initiating store registration processes, and coordinating with the Payments Department of the Central Bank of Libya and companies working in the field of electronic payment.

– Follow up on the completion of the implementation of the stages of the electronic portal for commercial services (PTS), starting with Al-Khoms Port and the Misurata Sea Port.

– Approval of the training program for the training center for the year 2023 AD.

– Completing, equipping and activating the trade data center.

The aforementioned procedures and decisions will be referred to the Executive Management to take the necessary action regarding them.
